If we choose four supreme Urdu novels! Great “Raja gidh” (king vulture) will surely be one of them. The Creator of this extensive novel is the great Bano Qudsia, She is wife of Ashfaq Ahmad who a very prominent literary figure of Urdu literature. Like her husband, she is also inspired from mysticism, spiritualism. She writes numerous short stories, stage plays and drama. She is famous and very popular among people, mostly from “Raja gidh” because it is extremely great novel. Baz Gasht , Amar Bail, Doosra Darwaza and Tawju ki Talib are frequent short stories through which has been praised and discussed. Regarding her endeavor work for Urdu literature she was awarded with Sitara-e-imtiaz and the Hala-e-Imtiaz by Government of Pakistan. Tamasil, Hawa key nam , Seharay and Khaleej are the best servitude plays which she done beautifully, also for this regards she was awarded with The Graduate Award for best play writer was conferred on Bano Qudsia in 1986 . Followed by same award she was also give Taj award for best playwright.


Early Life and Education:

Since Bano Qudsia, like her Husband Ashfaq Ahmad, migrated to Pakistan after partition. She takes his primal education from Dharamshala in India. Her father was a noble landlord and well education person who were graduated in agriculture. In Pakistan she attended Kinnaird College Lahore and graduated. In 1951 she takes admission in Government College Lahore and earned her master degree in Urdu.

King Vulture:

After jannat ki talash by Rahim gull, Raja gidh is most apprehended and most read novel in Pakistan. Raja gidh is a name of vulture of lived at dead flesh in jungle and has kingdom. Plot and aphorism of this Vulture symbolizes his other characters. Qayom and Semi are the main characters of the novel. Qayoom who fell in love with Simi, while Simi has crush at other person.  Throughout his novel Raja gidh symbolizes or use metaphor at neurotics’ changes what her character goes.
