Dilip kumar is an Indian famous actor who renowned as Tragedy King and some time tagged as The Ultimate Method Actor. Dilip is the pre partitioned film actor that Indian film industry has today. He appeared in his debuted fillm “Jwar Bhata” in 1944, which was released before of partition. As much as he famous in India, also famous in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Where in india he was awarded with so many awards and honor, in Pakistan as he was awarded with Nishan-e-Imtiaz.

Family Background :

Dilip Kumar was born in Hinko Speaking Awan family. His birth was take placed in Qissa Khawani Bazzar of Peshawar in 11 December 1922, current is now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa , Pakistan. His father Lala Ghulam Sarwr was a Pakhtun and was a very rich person, he was landlord and fruit merchant. Migrating before Mumbai, he takes early education from Barnes School, Deolali. Nearly In 1940, he left Mumbai and start his fruits business in Pun at Canteen where Devika Rani saw him and offered him role in his upcoming film Jwar Bhatta. His real name was Muhammad Yusuf khan , “Dilip Kumar” was his screen name which become popularity over his real name.

Dilip Kumar Career spanned over six decades and over sixty films. He became so popular through his first debute that he was started as casting for the lead roles in the film industry. The Reason of popularity and fame was said his versatile acting. Dilip was famous as tragedy hero; meanwhile he was appeared in variety of different genres of films. During his acting career Dilip such excellent and evergreen films, films like Andaz released in 1949, Aan released in 1952, Devdas released in 1955, Mughal-e-Azam in 1960 and Hits like Gana Jamuna in 1961 are classics films. Five years after Dilip started his career again and provide film like Kranti in 1981 and Shakti in 1982, Saudgar in 1991 and his last film Qila which was released in 1998. Indian acitng legend Dilip Kumar is among us, Government of India and Government of Pakistan awarded him with several honor and awards.
